defender 110 200tdi...power and speed....?

I have a defender camel 200tdi....went through a lot to get legal and title.....arg.....I am going to have it completely restored but before i want to work out the mechanics.
how could i get more speed.....?
how could i get more power.....?
what about an overdrive...will they give actual increase speed...?
what product could i get to decrease noise..?
is there anyway i could get the new 6 speed and mary it to this engine..?
thanks for any information ....need to get to my favorite fly fishing spots faster.....

Please dont do any crazy mods to your camel truck! Keep it subtle if you must mod it.

Either way, an OD will not make your truck faster. Your speed limitation is power and air resistance. The new 6 speed won't help either. Try one of the variable nozzle turbo kits from Allard - that will definitely up your power.

As far as noise goes, make sure you've got the latest full rubber matting for the seat box, foot wells, and bulkhead. Its very heavy and helps a great deal. I dont think RN sells it.
