    Default TOR range rover classic

I just bought a 197-? RRC and it has a body kit that was apparently done by a company in england. It has fiberglass fenders and hood and the fenders are very wide. it is a 4 door 3.5 liter with an LT95. has anyone heard of this?it is either TOR or TRO on a id plate on the rear gate.

Could be a Glenfrome.. There in the UK and did some impressive work on RRC's.

Though from the description you have furnish I cannot tell you more..

Please post some pics of the body work and the interior or any other badges you can find.

if its a four door its NOT a 197* something, thats for sure...unless its a Monteverdi, a swiss company, which tested the 4 door market for LR , The body work was carried out by Fissora from Italy....

    50 of them where built

The Solihull's first 4 door arrived in 81

so the plate on the back says TOR and it says land rover original also. The truck has a sticker with 1974 on it, but thats not a good thing to judge its age. you say its a 81, because its a 4 door, I feel like I knew that too. if its 1 of 50 should I not cut the body in half?.

A good way to judge the age would be the VIN ..

If its a Monteverdi, its a rare beast and I would get it appraised.

I do not get the point about cutting the body in half

Like I was trying to say, the Montevedri's are the only 4 door Rangies built prior to 81, if it is, then you have a little treasure.

Again plz get me some pics
