I have a 99 discovery. had to take out battery. radio wants code. do not have one. where can I get one and where can I get a free download of owners manual.

I went to dealer and they were able to look up the correct code using the VIN number. I don;t know about manuals - seems I have seen them available on the net - you may try a wide search.

Dealers will give you the radio security code once they confirm your ownership and VIN. Good time to register with LR as the new owner - just in case there are any recall notices sent out.

Search the internet for "RAVE CD".

The RAVE CD has both the owner manual and the workshop repair manual for your LR. It will save you $1000's over the time you own your LR. Avoid greedy dealer service managers and find a good independent LR mechanic - like our host. Armed with a RAVE CD you can decide if you can tackle the work yourself, hire a local general mechanic or go with an independent. For me, the dealer is the last place I go and only if I really, really have to.
