Bought 24435885F in October of 2019, after 15 years of looking.
Looking back at this post, I typed in haste after my recent purchase.

Since the purchase, I've managed to completely rewire the beast, replaced all the fluids and many of the seals, including the head gasket. New tires and powder coated 15" wheels, serviced and rebalanced the driveshaft. It came with the Fairey hubs and O/drive. Somewhere along the line had new front horns and a rear cross member welded... poorly, but they work. Also the engine was replaced by an MOD rebuild, which I discovered was bored 0.40 over! I had good compression when I checked (130PSI +/- 5PSI)this engine, though low oil pressure (20PSI on the highway @ 3,500 RPMS). In 1,200 miles I've used 3.5 quarts of engine oil though very little smoke from the tailpipe and no engine significant engine oil leaks. The 90Wt gear oil, however, is another story. Ugh.

There was a bugeye for sale on eBay back in October — Car No. 24435763F. I was thinking about buying it, but it looked like a bit of a mess, and was located in Martha's Vineyard. I couldn't get there to put eyes on it before bidding. Not sure if it sold/who bought it, but came across this thread today so I figured I'd add it in here.

Hello. I just got my registration setup for this Forum and I guess no better way to introduce myself. I purchased a project 1969 2A Bugeye 88" last September. It is Petrol and LHD. Car No. 24435992F. It is a one family owned truck. I cannot truly confirm the mileage but it looks like a original 27K mile truck. Purchased in 1969 and later inherited by the son and sold to me last September from the estate. It is a heavily patina Poppy Red. Currently doing a complete restore. New Marsland frame and currently working towards getting a rolling chassis in the next few weeks. Now located in Woburn, MA. Cheers, Tom

I am wondering about the status of the list of Bugeyes.
In the initial list a submitted a number of VIN #s collected over the years.
I updated my list recently and wanted to forward the info to the keeper of the list.

    Default New Bugeye

Well, it appears that I am the new owner of vin 24436252F. 1969 Pastel Green, unbelievably original and complete. I have a 1973 Series III and a 1960 Series II so I wasn't really looking, but the originality won me. The chassis is garbage, but it ran with about 30 minutes of work. Last on the road in 1984. The last owner (2nd owner) bought it in 1975. It came with a pretty good spare chassis that the previous owner had sourced, but I have a new galvanized that it might receive. I bought it 1.5 miles from the location of the dealer (dealer has since moved) that sold it new. Click image for larger version.
