99 DII CD jam up

In my Rover, my CD player will work for awhile, but now lately, it says CD Error, and when I remove the unit and open it, there is one cd that seemed to be on its way in or out of magazine and stopped at half way. Any likelihood that all I need is a new magazine ?

This happened to me. Ended up pulling the unit out (why its under the passengers seat, NO idea) and manually retracting the jammed CD. Once you get the mag out, Lube all the OUTSIDE moving points and work them back and forth. If one of the gears is shot, Sorry, looks like a new CD player.

Before you remount it, make sure it works.

I have had no problems since.
