    Default Need to replace disco power steering pump

    I've heard rummer of being able to replace the OME pump with a Chevy S10 pump. Any truth to this? Allways looking for a cheap way to keep her going. Thanks, Mark

    Red face chevy PS pump vs LR pump

    Why not buy a salvaged LR pump. Its rare to have them fail and I'm sure you'd find one for a descent price.

    Check out www.car-part.com - I bought one for $30. A real knucklebuster of a job, by the way.

    Oh....you can always buy a good one from our host too!
