Looking at an old Rover ad, I saw two lights maybe? to the left of the VIN plate. My gray Rover has two black plugs in the same location. I'm curious what these were?

great, thank you! the ones in the ad almost look like they are chrome-ringed, so I thought maybe they were some sort of small indicator light....
