head gasket sealant

I bought a composite headgasket set for my D110 NAS from our hosts and Les sent me instructions. Does it need a sealant?
Secondly I boughtthe stock Land Rover D110 springs (OEM) and the 4 springs are colour coded with a little paint slash -- which is which.

Do not use any sealant on the gaskets. Be sure to follow the torque pattern. Also, I did not use the special headbolt for the alternator bracket , I used all the bolts that came with the kit.
