    Default tranny swap question

Is swapping a IIa tranny to a IIIa tranny a simple bolt in type job or is there much more involved with it. Such as mounting adapters, modding linkages, shortening/lengthing drive shafts, etc. thanks

Easy swap, the only major differences are syncros on 1st and 2nd and slightly different gear ratios. External dimensions and linkages are the same.

    Different clutch slave cylinder.
I believe you have to notch the IIa cross member for the III slave.
Or you can do what I did and use the IIa bell housing on the III trans.
