Looking at the top of a LT230, how should the Diff Lock selector work in the three different position (right, middle, and left) when rotating the front output flange?

I'm prepping the LT230 to go into a 94 RR and want to make sure everything is working great before making the swap.

In the right postion, when I rotate the front output shaft it rotates the rear output just fine.

In the middle position, the rear doesn't really move with the front output.

In the left position, it is acting similar to it being in the middle position where the rear output does not really rotate with the front but there is also not a definite detent feel to the selector going into the left position like there is in the right and middle positions. Could something be jamming the selector, am I doing something incorrectly, or is this how it should be?

Thanks for any input.

Cheers,
Brian...
