It's with a heavy heart that I'm putting up for sale "Tuco", my beloved series IIa that I've owned since 2008. Vehicle is in the Seattle/Tacoma area. Just a good old survivor that's been well cared for. Engine is 2.25 gas that starts, runs and drives great. Fairey overdrive works great and is whisper quiet when engaged. Currently running a Pertonix electric ignition. Frame and rear cross member are rust-free. BF Goodrich commercial tires are virtually new (including the spare) and look appropriate for the vintage. Dual-matic locking hubs are heavy duty and work great. Exmoor "elephant hide" front seats are new. Canvas top is super versatile and comes with a fume curtain. I heavily soundproofed the vehicle with a lead backed rubber material (see photos) and it's one of the quietest vintage rovers I've ever ridden in. Comes with the pioneering tools and tailgate. FWIW this vehicle took second place in its class at the WA State All British Field Meet in 2009 - not bad for a non-restoration vehicle. As I recall the 1st place winner was a 100k+ restoration. Comes with a nice cache of spare parts including a weber carburetor. More photos upon request. Price is $35,000.
