The Land Rover Series IIA in its open form, with its weather-proof canvas soft top removed, is an all-purpose go-anywhere 4-wheel drive vehicle! This Land Rover completed years of uninterrupted operation on the roads of the Americas. During this time Land Rover has built up a record of unremitting service that cannot be equaled. Their numberless activities have become legendary.
Today this restored, sleek Land Rover Series IIA takes the field wearing the original light green tint and tan canvas soft top. This Series IIA rides smoothly and comfortably. The gear change effortlessly and the 4-wheel drive works as it should from the factory. With it’s all around convenience in operating and servicing, it continues the versatility, unstoppability and toughness for which its predecessors are justly famed.
If you needed something a little more substantial to move serious cargo, then you are covered with this 1969 Land Rover Series IIA. It offers great power and torque from a legendary four-cylinder engine, a beefier frame, and a bigger bed; all with the same go-anywhere Land Rover utility.
With a tough-as-nails look that's practically begging to chew up serious topography, this Land Rover looks right in its original light green livery. It is ideal for heading out into the wilderness or for traversing the concrete jungle. Think of the stir you'll create at the local Home Depot when you start sliding your supplies into the big bed. Either way, this truck knows what it's doing. You can see the exposed rivets used in its construction. Galvanized mesh grating protects the front grille. Seriously, is there anything cooler than just strapping your spare tire to the hood? Totally functional. The bed is nicely finished as well with new black vinyl seats. And there's a weather-proof canvas soft top. Just remove the canvas soft top it to enjoy the open air! Trust me, this Landy can handle pretty much anything Mother Nature throws at it.
Yes, it's basic inside, but that's purely the point, isn't it? Three-abreast in new black vinyl bucket seating is cozy and functional. The driver, who is on the left-hand side, has access to all the levers in the center that controls the transfer case and 4-speed shifter. The gauges are in the center of the dash of this left-hand drive model. The restoration/preservation was thorough enough to ensure that all the switches, knobs, and gauges look their best, and the three-spoke steering wheel is a big comfortable piece that could be the original. Out back there's plenty of room for multiple passengers, along with expanded cargo area thanks to storage compartments under the seats.

GASOLINE ENGINE - Four cylinder. Overhead inlet and exhaust valves.
IGNITION – Coil and battery, automatic advance. 12v battery.
FUEL SUPPLY – 12-gallon gasoline tank.
FUEL SYSTEM - Mechanical fuel lift pump with sediment bowl and gauze filter.
LUBRICATION - By pressure from gear-type pump forcing oil to all bearings, timing chain and valve rocker gear. Full-flow oil filter.
CLUTCH – Single dry plate, 9 inch diameter, hydraulically operated by pendant pedal.
TRANSMISSION – To rear and front axles by open propeller shaft via two-speed transfer box.
GEARS – Four forward speeds and reverse. Two-speed transfer box in conjunction with main gearbox gives eight forward speeds and two reverse.
REAR AXLE – Fully floating spiral bevel type. Ratio: 4-7 : 1.
FRONT AXLE – Fitted with differential similar to rear axle. Drive to front wheels through totally enclosed universal joints.
