The Wolf wheel centers are thicker than the other LR wheels, and the factory fitted longer wheel studs on trucks that came with Wolf wheels to allow more threads to attach the lug nuts. Did you also convert to the longer threads? ( FRC7577 ) If not, your wheel attachment may be weaker than the factory intended because fewer threads hold the wheels on.

After a absence of Rovers for a while this '74 Series III fills the void. This is number six and is a body off with solid frame and driven almost everyday.

Just brought home last week from Montana.
Got my 67 IIA a few weeks back, sorting things out and trying to learn what exactly I have parts wise. Was restored by family out of Florida and looks like a thorough job, including converting to a 200TDI w PS & PB. Just a few things Im hoping to make better, horn & steering ar on top of the list. Dog loves it and Im having fun driving to work now that suns out.[ATTACH=CONFIG]1303[ATTACH=CONFIG]13032
Really nice IIA just like my first one many, many years ago. Those 109 wheels on it?
I purchased a 1967 Series IIA 109” diesel a little over a year ago. "The truck found me” as they say; a diesel Land Rover at a price I couldn’t refuse despite knowing little about LR’s or diesel engines. I bought 5 new Michelin XZL tires (from Rovers North, of course), had them mounted (several of the old tires had tubes?!?!) and then had the alignment trued up... Once that was done the truck drove great; it has a RoverDrive with a rebuilt transmission and new clutch (12 years but only ~ 2k miles ago).
I believe this truck was originally a diesel but the engine has been replaced with non-rover 4 cylinder Diesel sometime in the 70s-80s. I have about 30 years worth of receipts and a manual for the engine. Someone took very good care of it at one point. It runs very strong and will do 70-75mph with no problem (thanks to RoverDrive and new Michelins).
Its clearly an MOD but what i have stated is about all i know - hoping someone here can help me learn more about my truck???
