Anyone upgraded to electronic voltage regulator?

I'm in the planning stages of rewiring my 1961 S2 Station wagon with generator and negative ground. I ran across these electronic voltage regulators that look original. Any experience with them?

Most people just ditch the generator (old tech & low output) and go with an alternator (internally regulated) so you don't need to run a voltage regulator.

66 IIA 88" Station Wagon (sold)
    66 IIA 109" Pickup (Restomod, 5MGE, R380)
67 IIA 109" NADA Wagon (sold)
    88, 2.5TD 110 RHD non-hicap pickup

I support, JP view. If you want better electrics, get rid of the pain in the #@*^ generator, Mine worked, but never worked well, although I loved watching things dim when the revs lowered, (old scho0l) an Alternator upgrade just sells itself, Auto Sparks can help you with the wiring harness and put the proper plug in it, cheers.
