    removable transmission crossmember pictures please

    I am on the hunt for pictures of the removable transmission crossmember so i can see how they were originally constructed by Land Rover.

    Here you go, mine has still got the original military protection-plate underneath the gearbox.

      The picture helps a ton! I have to take the trans out to renew the rear main seal on the motor and don't feel like pulling the complete interior out again... so my dad and i decided to cut the cross member and make brackets so that it will now be removable. we might even add a smiler protection-plate as well.
