Mirrors for doors on a Series II

Does anyone have experience with what seems to be only two choices on our host’s site for mounting mirrors?

Specifically, what is the difference between the mirror adapter, door hinge and the same ‘extruded’? Is that extruded l as in, plastic? Is it durable?

    thanks in advance

The RN website stated the RNA0238P is extruded from glass fiber impregnated nylon. It doesn’t state what the RNA0238 is made of.

These brackets are similar to the metal brackets used on early the Series 3 that used the Defender type mirrors. I have these on my S3. The later S3 upper hinges were drilled and the mirror supports attach directly to the hinge.

The very rare Series II/IIA upper door hinge with mirror hole occasionally show up on the auction site but are expensive. Pangolin makes a cast steel reproduction of these hinges that are very nice.
