I just looked a 110 that has no top. Is there any difference in the arrangement of these such that a pick up top could be fitted, if they are available. Farmiliar w/ series trucks but not defenders.

A Defender style pick-up top will fit either the 90 or 110 and it's an easy install. You can't, however, use a Series pick-up top on a Defender as the tops are different. I know of one that may be available, but it is in Ontario.
