Marslands Defender 90 NAS Chassis Question

Why that's a terrible idea. Send that 88 to me and I'll pop it onto MY rusty old Disco

I have a late IIA with a seriously rusted out chassis so it's time to do a frame-up. One thing I've thought for awhile about doing is getting an old Disco 1 for the axles and suspension bits and dropping the old IIA body on top of it to create a coil sprung special. Coil sprung specials are quite common in England, has anyone in North America done this? Do the Disco 1 supension parts bolt onto a Marlands Defender 90 NAS chassis?

Any info appreciated!
