2.5 NAD oil dipstick tube measurement

Hi All (All 2.5 owners that is)

I have a simple question, but it will require you to run to the garage and stick your head under the bonnet with a tape measure to provide the answer.

I replaced the oil dipstick tube on my 2.5NAD because it had been bent and then broke off at the bend. The problem is that when I replaced it with new tubing and compression olive, I didn't know how far in to the engine block the tube is supposed to intrude. Can someone give me the measurement from either the top of the threaded compression fitting or the face of the engine block (please specify) to the top end of the dipstick tube? Obviously this is important to get a reliable reading of the oil level on the dipstick itself.

    Thanks
    Greg

put the specified amount of oil in the crankcase, and adjust the length of tube until the dipstick reads right.

      DipStick

Greg, looks like about 18-1/8 " top-to bottom. Hope it helps, great looking truck!

Ok, after re-reading your post, I see what your're asking. The dipStick tube, from compression fitting to top is 10-1/2 ",
and from block to top is 11-1/8". Let me know if you need more.
