    Is this guy for real???

Is this guy for real??? Check out this ad on ebay.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LANDR...item45fd00e717 Diarea of the mouth, who in their right mind would contact this guy? If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull****. Then mention 9/11 as a joke in your description this week of all times. Never even mentions his company name. But he says you can call him up until 11pm and you would likley meet him in the ally. Is this really what this market is coming to???

    Ebay

I have seen a bunch of these guys from across the pond selling defenders on eBay recently. I was always unsure on how legit they are.

The 9/11 joke was bad enough, but most who are interested in Land Rovers belong to a forum of one type or another, calling us: LAND ROVER FORUM BITCH BOYs is not going to score any points with your potential market either.

He has some nice looking trucks but seems like a real a-hole to say the least. Perhaps a Sales 101 refresher course for this guy

I think he is a real character, he is up front about his "humour" and all should proceed with caution.

Maybe if someone buys from him, they might post their experience on a BBS somewhere ?......

Just the way he put his sales pitch together shows his character. Never would i buy from anyone like that. They all claim to source fine 110s. At least from what i have seen.

Hemight as well advertise it as a rusted out, leaky, unreliable P.O.S., He wont get any less interest than with the current advert.

I just hit the link to the auction listing (which has long since closed). I can't believe that the write up got even better AFTER THE AUCTION CLOSED!

The original writeup was gone and new one chastising Americans for not buying the rover is in its place. In addition to the usual reference to the "forum bitch-boys", it now contains such gems as:

"All vehicles now sold...American Land Rover people, you missed out again."

                  and

"If a vehicle is legal in the UK or Europe, it sure as hell is legal in the US and Canada."

                  and the ever-bizarre

"...legal to import all states and title except CA. They have different rules like your boss getting his cleaning lady pregnant and standing for president."

                  Whaaa???

I always was a big fan of British comedy and this is no exception--Hilarious!
