Greetings all!
Take a second to look at your transfer box and e-brake boots. Chances are if you've driven the car more than a hundred miles ever, they're due for a replacement. Replacing them was one of the first things I did when I bought my Disco recently. I am now proud to offer a replacement for one, or both of these boots. The issue that most people face is that it's not worth the time or money to do it, in reality it's incredibly easy and cheap. Land Rover offers the parts: FJL101530PMA - $57.34, and FJL101710PMA - $92.99.
What we have done, is set up a deal with a great stitcher who has created two new boots that directly replace the factory boots and look great.
I do not have a before shot of my truck, but here is a shot of a customer's ebrake boot:
And here is a shot of mine after I completed it:
As you can see it's a night and day difference. The only tools you need are superglue and a screwdriver. Instructions are included with each part, and we will have a kit made up soon for both of them.
Parts are:
PLN952 - Transfer Box Lever Boot - Fits Defender/Discovery I+II - $15.99
PLN953 - Emergency Brake Lever Boot - Fits Discovery I+II - $21.95
Any questions, let me know!
Thanks,
-Zack
