    No electrical power

My 99 D1 has been sitting for about 6 months. The battery had corroded pretty well so I bought a new battery and cable ends, changed the oil, and thought it was good. When I turn the key, I get nothing. No dash lights, headlights, cabin lights, sounds, dings, ....nothing. It's as if the battery isn't even connected. I checked the fuses under the dash and the ones in the engine compartment and were good. I checked the ground for the battery negative (under the battery attached to the chassis and it looked clean and good).

Im stumped. This hasn't happened to me before with any of my trucks. Any suggestions?

It might sound silly, but are you sure the battery is in right and you've connected the ground to the negative terminal? Also, the cable ends might LOOK like they are making good contact, but the only way to be sure is to remove them, clean them, put dielectric grease on them and tighten them down well. And of course..... the battery might be new to you, but are you sure it's charged?
