    Gas in exhaust...?

I've got my trusty 99 DI that I'm going to be giving some mechanical lovin to shortly.

I've noticed that that exhaust smells of gas (unburned) usually in the morning and when it's hot when first started and then goes away.

I've heard many ideas of what it could be, however, wanted to check out what wisdom you kind folks may be able to shed on the situation.

I am going to be installing a new catalytic converter and want to try and get this solved before it fries the new cat.

I'm guessing timing? The truck has 148K and runs like a top I must say.

    Thanks guys and gals!

Fuel injectors are leaking fuel... either replace or have them updated.
