i have a rebuilt 3.9 motor that i am breaking in on a 95 disco! What is the best oil and weight that i should use? how many quarts??? thanks

something with a high zinc, or a additive for new engines to keep the camshaft happy.
I use Kendall 20w50 racing oil, it has 1200 ppm of zinc
I bought some oil additive once that can be used in any oil to restore the zinc .Kevin

Other Fluids
Land Rover recommends DOT 4 brake fluid. I typically use NAPA's brand. Do NOT use synthetic brake fluid, the seals are not up to the task. This is typically labeled as a DOT 5.1990 RRC, 3.9L, AUTO "Willow Pond" (Sold)
