While installing a rebuilt alternator on my 96 Disco, I accidentally forgot to disconnect the battery and got a spark on the main wire terminal on the alternator. Started the disco up and noticed that tach was not working After a 20 minute drive with lights on, the battery lost all of its power. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated? I know I connected the unit correctly.... only 3 wires so it wasn't yoo hard. Is there a fuse or fusible link that's responsible just for the alternator. Manual doesn't identify one. Any response wouldbe appreciated
