can only go up hill in reverse??

bad fuel pump? in tank baffle or fuel pickup? i already did the fuel filter above the rear wheel..

95 disco 130k miles, drives great on road but on any significant incline off road and it sputters and stalls.. unless i climb it in reverse..

i have a parts car but the fuel fittings are rusted and its going to be a PITA so don't wanna dig in till i get a second opinion..

Fuel Level?

Does this happen when the tank is full? If it does... I'd suspect debris in the tank.

I've never heard of this problem.

full tank, half full tank, almost empty, no difference.. i have been through about 4 tankfuls since the problem started. it is getting progressively worse.. kind figured debries would how worked their way out by now..
