buying used:Disco I or Disco II?

    Disco people:

i crashed my RRC last winter and have decided to replace it with a Disco since there are so few RRC's around. is the Disco II a much better used buy than the Disco I? i have found a 95 with 120K for $2000 and a 2002 with 89K for $4900 (will head gasket problems have surfaced at 89K miles?). spending less is always appealing to me, but what are the advantages of the later model? i have also heard to stay away form the 1999 Disco II, as it had some "teething" problems, solved with the 2000 model year? thanks in advance.....

Conventional wisdom is usually holds that a '95 D1, a '99 D1 SD and the '04 D2 are the preferred years.

Of course, there are jewels to be found throughout the range.

They ALL have teething issues, but you probably already knew that
