    No Taillights,o Dash lights

My 04 Discovery has an odd electrical issue. I have no taillights or Dash lights. I saw in a Post that the Mutifunction switch can fail so I purchased a used one that was tested and functional.

Either the switch is not the problem or some one sold me a bad switch.

What else could be the problem?

Does anyone know how I would test the switch to see if it was good?

Thanks for any help you might provide.

It happened to me too...only after I found out the hard way that discos don't like high wattage super white after market bulbs. It most likely the switch. The contacts can corrode internally much like the seat switches do in the D1's.

It is either the switch if you bought used... or the wiring harness going into the switch. I have seen them short out and burn a connector.
