    Driving without front drive shaft?

Can I drive my Rover without a front drive shaft. All I want to do is drive it home from the shop about 20 miles.

    Thanks Jesse

The answer would be no (unless you have a lockable transfer case, but that's pretty rare on a Series II)

Interesting that they brought that back. I left working at a LR dealership in 2003. Always thought that was a good option to have. Can't think of anything that would prevent you from driving off 1 shaft. (the problem with all wheel drive is that the transfer case is normally an open differential so it would be like trying to drive without an axle shaft on one side.) Good luck, I probably wouldn't drive it at high speeds for an extended period, but that's just me.
