    Sender unit

Anyone know if a standard Series III late tank unit can be adapted to work with a 101 F.C. ? 12volt of course !

I don't know which generation of SIII it came from but I used one on my 101 and it was fine, or at least I never ran out of fuel. The unit I swapped on had the simple flange with 8(?) screw holes.

I think I still have the spare I bought for my cache so if my beer addled mind remembers tonight I'll go and check the part number.

      Hello there,

      Any news on the sender?
I believe it had just 6 screws holding it in.
      Thanks !

I'm gradually working through the pile of crap (Highly valuable used parts to some) in my garage to get back to that area. I'll see if I can dig it out tonight.

Do you have the part number of the unit you are using?

          Gregor,
Thanks for keeping this on the front burner.
          The 101 # is 579375.
The Series # is 555844 Petrol and 555845 Deisel with low fuel warning tab.

          Thanks

            Les,
I knew I was having difficulty finding my spare sender until I realized I fitted it to my 109's tank. Its a IIA mind you. Looking at the old box (Came from Craddocks a while ago) it stated that the sender was a universal replacement for a 101 and SIII. Measuring the sag vs tank depth it works well for both trucks with only a slight bend in the float arm. I think it was under the SIII rear tank mount part #.

              Aha !!
              Thanks for the enlightenment.
I will try the late IIa sender we have in stock.
It has the 2 wire support going to the float, so I'll try to re-solder the link on the level arm to match the 101".

Thanks very much for your assistance.

                  101 Filler hose

Does anyone have a spare filler hose for a 101" ?
Either that, or can you advise of the dims. of the unit, provide pix?
We'll have to see if we can substitute something, this one is obvious by its absense !!
