    Single Stage Paint

Do any of you guys know the drying time required on a single stage paint before I can place my tire back on the bonnet, lamp guards on, and the bolt on accessories? I have heard 12 hours to 30 days.

I think it depends on the product, temp and humidity. Contact the supplier or manufacturer for the most precise info.

I didn't touch, wash, or look at my MG Midget funny for at least a month. I reassembled it after a week, but you could still leave an impression if you pushed on the surface with your fingernail. I painted it during the summer, so temps were 70s-80s. I used synthetic enamel. A tire would be quite heavy and that would surely leave a mark if it rubbed/pressed against fresh paint.

It will flash pretty quick when it's warm, so you could probably put the lights on after a day, but I'd leave the spare in the back until Spring.
