    1966 IIA 88 Build

Well I guess I better start a thread. This is probably going to be a long process.

I have a 1966 series IIa 88 that I bought last year at Christmas. Its a one owner with 54XX miles on it. It looks like 540000 miles on it, but I really like it. It was bought new in Boulder, CO. Been it Wyoming on a ranch its entire life until 8 years ago it came to Texas with original owner.

I have been gradually tinkering with it. Its a completely original truck, with koeing pto winch.

I put wolf wheels on and some new tires since I have owned it. Just got Fab bumper on today and added lights.

I have ordered new parabolic springs and hope to get them on soon. To many old cars that I am messing with and not enough time to work on all of them. Thanks Jason

I hear you on that Jason! Good to see your truck....I've only seen a pic or two you've sent me but not of the whole thing. Never seen dual gas cans on the back....cool! Let me know the diff in the parabolics when you install them. Don't need springs right now, but when I do one day will consider them.

Did you forget an "X"? Five and a half thousand miles in 46 years is essentially unused. (117 miles a year).

                    Nice 88!

The 5400 miles is all it was used. Rover was just used on ranch only. Probably just for hunting. The gentleman said it was actual miles and I know for the last 8 years, that I have been trying to buy it, it has just set and used just for hunting here in Texas.

                      Thanks

                        Julian,

I will keep you posted. I am curious how much it raises it and the ride. I am ready for them, mine are stuck together, and needs shocks. Ordered new bushings and shackles to.

                          Awesome

Great looking 88. Nice bumper...whip that up yourself?
No, its not a Jeep...update, actually it is for right now. I am temporarily Rover-less.

No the bumper was built by a member on a forum. I was going to build me a bumper, but I have a little boy and I don't have a lot of time to Fab items up like I use to. But I am currently fabing up some rock sliders right now my father in law is helping me with them.
