    Air cleaner to carb problem

Well it's finally happened. The rubber piece that a PO used to fit from the air cleaner (original) elbow around the top of the Rochester B carb has come apart. Our hosts used to carry adapters for Zenith and Solex. Do either of these fit the Rochester? If not, what have any of you done - without cutting holes in the bonnet. Thanks.

Hit up your local auto parts store. Over in the "ricer" section they have cone filters and all kinds of crap like that. Check that area out first as they normally have little rubber connectors and crap like that.

I took Max's advice, went to the local NAPA with the bunged up rubber. They cut a 3 in. piece of 2.25 (yup, I ain't lyin') piece of reinforced rubber that fits over the cleaner elbow AND the 'chester carb. $4.00 with tax. Thanks for the responses.
