Side view. The whole thing was full of new parts and cob webs. Threw in a batt. and cranked and cranked. Whoops, no gas! 5gal in and it fired up but had a bad vacuum leak. Machined the carb for throttle shaft bushings and she purrs like a kitten. A kitten with no brakes, guess that's why the PO had new shoes and cyl rebuild kits still in the box in back. The neighbors think I'm nuts, it's got a few coats of house paint over Barney Purple on top of white then British Military green.

Hey! You're not suposed to be looking at that. Just the Rover!
Yea, it's an 86 Samurai. It's my Zombie SHTF recon/scout vehicle.
The Rover has rust in the mud shields and a golf ball sized hole in the middle of the foot welland that's about it. Minimum rust and not been messed with is how she sits. Don't know where I'll find RHD bits like the mud guards.
From what I can tell the PO had it since early 2005 and had grand dreams but it got put on the back burner. Been sitting in his garage ever since. He got a Defender and the 109 had to go for room.
Picking up a Nappa oil filter today and gonn'a flush/replace the fluids this weekend. Can't find GL4 gear oil anywhere or castrol brake fluid so I'm still looking. Probably pick up a MSD coil because the one on it looks like it's been there since day one and gets hotter than Ga. in the summer!
