    Alternate brake light switch?

The switch on my series III is dead, the one on the brake tower. Naturally I had plans for the Rover this weekend! Is there an alternate source for one from Napa or Auto Zone till I can order a replacement?
Was going through the switches and connections in the truck got the dash light and heater fan switches working (corroded and gummed up) but the brake switch was a lost cause.
    Any ideas?

Just take the existing switch down to NAPA. They have a variety of switches like that. I'm sure one will work till you get a proper one.

I have the same problem. THese are very much like a door jamb switch for the interior lights on "modern" cars. However, the folks at napa couldn't match the thread size. So since the PO of mine installed a micro switch under the dash by the brake pedal, I installed a single throw switch. Legal...no but it works for now. The police only care if my brake lights work if they are behind me. But if you find a replacement please let me know.
