I have been trying to bleed my 109 brakes. This is the last step on my 109 dual brake conversion. I have added a brake booster and 109 dual master (prolines) from our host and some new lines. I cannot get any fluid started in my rear drivers side wheel cyl. I did crack the connector at the master and it will push fluid here. Checked for leaks none. Any ideas / similar experience??

Woked on this again, put a clear hose on the bleeder and had the wife pump the brakes. Still can't get fluid to start??

What brand wheel cyls.? the cheap replacements tend to have problems. I had one wheel cyl. with no threads on the studs for mounting. If you are bleeding the lines then just check you have flow by disconnecting the line from the wheel cyl.

I didn't change the wheel cyls so don't know. My thought today is to break a few connectors working my way back to see where I loose it. As soon as I find a pedal pumper that is.
The things I replaced are; brake tower/pedal, booster, master, front line from master to front Tee, new line from master to rear flex line.
Could I have an air bound master somehow?

did you bench bleed the MC to be sure it was full of fluid?

You might try clamping off the two front wheels at the rubber hoses to ensure that all the "pump" goes where you need it. Land Rover made a special tool clamp for this purpose. I put rubber fuel hose over the jaws of needle nosed vise-grips to keep from damaging the flex lines.
To take this idea a step further you can put a ratchet strap around the brake shoes of the opposite rear brake to keep from dissipating "pump" there too.

Jim, I did not bench bleed the master, not exacly sure how to do that.
I did find a pedal pusher this AM. I can get fluid at the fittings all the way back to the rear hose. Loose it after that, nothing at wheel cyls supplies or bleeders. I have an ostruction in the hose or rear T. Rear pipes are not the best either. I will be replacing hose & pipes, inspect T and go from there. Fairly confident we found the problem, I'm thinking the hose.
Of course the rear pinion seal needs replacement also. Could gear oil cause a hose failure, it's coated good.

Sounds like the hose. Is it new or old. Old they delaminate and block flow.

it works best if you make sure the MC is completely filled with brake fluid on the bench, and has not air that can be a bitch to get out later. You can submerge the MC in brake fluid work it till all the air is out

Order an extra for your spares. If I'm not mistaken it's the same part number at the rear as the fronts.. so with one spare you can bring your brakes back into action in a field failure situation.
