    Mystery reinforcement panel?

Not sure what its purpose was/is. Its from a 77 MOD "home model" SW 88.

Didnt know if it was worth keeping.

Most likely a piece of radio equipment or a weapons holder.

Yes, indeed. There should be one on each side of the truck, to support the inertia reel seat belt. Good eye, there !!!

Hmmm.. If I were mounting a plate for an inertia belt, I don't think i woud use pop rivets. My bet is a mount for somethin more mundane- radio equip or something.

              Hi.

              I have an 1975 ex military 109

In my 109 there is a seat belt real attached on each side on these black steel plates.

That is the mount for an inertial reel seatbelt. The reel mounts on the opposite side of the bulkhead so the rivets are fine to hold it. I believe I bought a similar set from Rovers North a few years back for one of my Rovers. (I got one for the passenger too;-)
