    Tires for 15" Wheels

I finally got the 40 year old rubber off and wheels are out for blasting and powder coating. I searched the forum and have landed on BF Goodrich T/A KO 30x9.5x15 as the tire and size that seems to have worked well for many.

Before I pull the trigger does any one have any thoughts or alternatives from experience?

    thanks

And no problems with the diameter? I was worried I would get into clearance or other issue if I went too big.

If you crank it over hard they rub alittle
But I think there are steering stops you can
Set so it stops before rub
        I maybe wrong

I'm running 33X9.50X15 BFG ATs and am happy with them. I am also running parabolics. Not sure how well they would fit without them.

I'll echo Jim and ask what springs you are running? With the stock springs you should be able to go up to at least a 32, I am running 33x10.5 KM2's on my 88 with parabolics and they are awesome. The taller tire increases the rolling ratio so it can move along ok on the freeway without an O/D.

I have RM parabolics so there is a lot of room in the wheel well. Thanks for the feedback. Looking forward to getting it off of jack stands and back on the road.

I have 30" tires on the Series 1 and tried them on for size on the S3. They don't look like mail truck tires so I not sure about going larger. I don't want to have clearance issues.

Just this morning had mounted on Cedryck 31x10.5 BFG mud km2. My local garage did the mounting and balancing, great job they did five wheels for about 100$. Tires came from Tire Rack, quick service. Looks great on the 88.

Exactly what I had put on also and they are great. I have paras and no clearance issues at all. Look great and the ride is way better than the 40 years old rock hard bias ply tires that were on it (no surprise).
