Shorland Armored Patrol Car - Any others out there?

I just picked up a Shorland Armoured Patrol Car. Sat for the last 14 years but seems to be complete. Just now beginning the restoration.... Any others floating around out there? Any tips for the novice to Land rovers? (I can post pics in a few days if anyone is interested)

I'm glad to see it go to a good home. Looks like it needs a lot of love.

There's one around here somewhere. It was at the 50th anniversary thing at LRNA back in '98, and at the MAR. I forget who owns it. I bet someone remembers.

Well, I got it running (on starter fluid anway) yesterday! Fuel tanks/lines/filters flushed and serviced. The ignition key will not turn over the started motor, I have to ground out the solenoid under the hood to get it to crank. Does the keyed ignition work like a regular car? If so, mine is not working.... I will get a couple photos posted as soon as I figure out how to do it!

Is there a starter button? Don't know if you have a series II or a Series III.

I was going through the forum and saw your post, how is your Shorland coming along.....I have had mine since 2002 and drive it half a dozen air shows and parades a year. My odometer reads 32,000, and I have never been able to get it past 35 MPH.......I am currently in the Atlanta area.
