    Koenig PTO winch

I have a Koenig PTO winch in my garage that I have been tripping over for several years. It came off of a 1965 IIA 88" that I used to own. It is the winch only and does not have the shaft or the PTO gearbox.

Any idea what this is worth? It's in good shape and was working on the 88" when I took it off.

Anybody interested in it? I would love to part with it.

    Thanks.

I saw this Koenig pto winch in a pawn shop. It has no model number, but it looks like the drive shaft is on passenger side. I went home and inspected my 65 SIIA 88 and can't see that it will fit. But I have zero experience with these winches.

How does the drive shaft connect to the transfer case?

Oh, and any ideas what a good offer would be?

      Thanks!

driveshaft needs to be on drivers side so youd need to swap the output back to front. For installation on a land rover you'd need a lot of pieces - PTO, mount, driveshafts, U joints, shifter assembly etc.

That one above looks like it came from a tow truck or similar. Swapping the drive around should be pretty simple.

The only bit that is LR specific is the PTO output from the gearbox. Those are fairly common (around here anyway). The rest can be fabricated but you need to do your math right. That is, to take the correct line for the shafts and not to put too much angle on the uj's.

This should help a bit http://www.lrfaq.org/Series/FAQ.S.winches.koenig.html

Update: I ended up finding the rest of the winch assembly buried in a box of Rover parts.... go figure. It is now complete with t-case PTO gearbox, shaft, winch head, lever, and some mounting bolts. I have no use for any of this. $1000

              Thanks.

It did not sell the first round so I lowered the opening bid to $700. Someone please take this off my hands.
