                I agree w/ Ted...looks to be a III. Have you researched the SN?

                To rebuild or upgrade...I supose that depends on the intended use and depth of your wallet. Personally I'm one for keeping things original & simple. Not really sure if I would want to do more than 50mph in one of these ole beasts!

                  While the "H" registration suggests its a 1968 it is a series 3 so it has to be newer than 1971 as 71 was the last year of the 2a's. There are so many things that say series 3.
                  1971 series 2a 88, series 3 trans, Fairey OD, owned since 1978.

                      The dash, windshield where it attaches to the bulkhead, the hinges and the grill all point towards a 3. The only way you will really know is to check the SN. It could very easily have be rebuilt using S3 bits though. Does it have a full syncromesh transmission?
