    Steering relay...

Hey Guys, Should I be able to move the steering relay by hand? I have it out of the cross member and am just trying to spin it without any of the arms on it and I can't get it to budge. Is this normal or should I rebuild?

    Thanks Cory-

It should be tight. Turn it by hand? I guess that depends on how much spinach you eat!

It could be tight due to lack of oil also.

I'm impressed you got it out of the chassis!

      I do like spinach!

Yes it was a bear getting it out. I welded up a custom puller and pressed it out with a bottle jack. ... lots of pb blaster!

Gonna rebuild, as it had some water/oil in there.

      Thanks for the reply!

Be careful taking it apart! I rebuilt one back when I was a kid, without having the manual, and I didn't realize that there was a big spring in there. Have fun.
