Series III vs a IIa hoods

What is the difference between a Series III and a IIa hood other than the obvious difference in hinges. If the PO had a servo and dual MC do I need a Series III hood or will a Series II or IIa hod work?

It's not a difference between IIa versus III, but instead, plain versus deluxe, dished or not, etc. Change out the hinges, and go w/ what you like....

On my SIII, I switched from the flat bonnet to the deluxe with the curled lip and the dished out tire mount, just because I liked the look of the front, and, it'd help w/ visibility a bit more.

      Bonnets

The Series III (and late IIA) had depressions in the frame work of the bonnet to allow for the servo/master cylinder combination. Other than the 4 hole hinge for the early IIA and 3 bolt for late IIa and Series III, the differences are nominal and will interchange.
