Series III Clutch Replacement - Plastic Staple?

I have a Series III gearbox in my SIIa 109. I have the IIa green bible but it doesn't help me on this gear box. I ordered an entire Series III clutch kit and it came with a plastic staple that I am not sure how to use. It holds the bearing or fork position while reassembling but I don't know where or how. Anyone have a good diagram or picture to help me out?

    Thanks much.
