I put a throttle body injected GM 4.3 V6, NV3550, Advance Adapter, Ashcroft high ratio T-case in my 109.

I have a 1960 S2 88 that I put a Mercedes 240D into, love the truck, been driving it for 5 years now, used one of Jim Youngs adapters.

Just finishing up a 1963 2A 109 pickup with 200TDi. It's running and moving around the shop, should be on the road in about a week, I'm hoping it's as nice to drive as the Merc truck.

Im preparing to fit a Toyota 3B engine and its 5 speed tranny from a 1986 BJ70 Land Cruiser. I may start the swap this fall before the snow if everything is ready. If not will start the conversion this next spring.

Here's an updated on my engine swap...Toyota 3B + 5 speed from a 1986 BJ70 in my 1973 Series 3. Still have some stuff to figure out but project now maybe 75-80% complete.
