    New Canvas Top for Lightweight

Anyone know where I can get a replacement canvas top for my Series III Lightweight? I know Rovers North sells some for Series III but I can't find one for a Lightweight as they are a slightly different size. Thanks.

    Here's one place: http://www.allwheeltrim.co.uk/series...tml#Series-2&3
I'm sure there are more. Have you checked with our hosts?

I don't now for sure but would be surprised if badger coachworks didn't have a version. I have a badger canvas on my defender and the quality is incredible.

Thanks for the info Artpeck but not sure I could handle paying over $2k for a top.

Tom - I checked out that site previously. It is a maybe. As for our hosts, as I said I checked but they only seem to sell for civilian Series III.

I meant have you called them and asked, rather than just looking on their website?

              Andy,
There is NO size difference between a Lightweight canvas top and a standard canvas top. I have several tops for my Lightweight and my standard 88, I've swapped tops a bunch of times. The "real" lightweight top has no side windows. It has " horns" on the sides for the antennae and square flaps for the wires to pass through, but other than cosmetic differences they are the same. Contact our hosts and ask for Les, he knows lightweights inside out. Beware, original real Lightweight tops are extremely rare.

              Cheers,
              BN

                BN,
The standard 88 top I currently have on my LW is slightly bigger than it should be.

As for our hosts - I have just reviewed the catalog on-line. I will reach out to Les and see what he has to say.

                Thanks.

Just as a reference, I feel like the replacement top I have on my ser III 88" is too big too. I bought it about 8 years ago and always felt the fit was off.

I know I'm a little late in responding to this, but...
I fitted a civilian top by Exmoor trim to my Lightweight because I wanted a sand colored top with windows. I wasn't 100% satisfied with the fit - the sides seemed too low. So I ended up making spacers that fit between the hoops and the galvanized cappings. Now everything fits very nicely.

Some one mentioned Badger works. I have been there, met Chris, and spent two days there. He is serious about his work, they do amazing things, and the quality is outstandting. 2 large sounds like alot for a soft top but it is worth it, I think. just my thought.
