    Fuse box idea

When I rewire my 109 station wagon, and because I don't need the voltage regulator anymore, would it be possible to gut the voltage regulator and turn that into a fuse box? Has anyone done this?

anything's possible, but it's not very big in there. Nice idea though, for keeping things looking original.

I'm ashamed to say it, but I rewired a truck I owned about 10 years ago with one of those universal type wiring harnesses - and I wish I never had. At the time, I thought since I was gutting everything I'd just remove the Lucas factor entirely.

I didn't add any new, trick, stuff like lights and power outlets or a radio... so in hindsight I wish I had just sprung for a quality repro harness and keep everything as close to the stock diagram as possible.

My current truck has 95% original wiring, and it's much easier to troubleshoot and deal with (at least if you are looking at manuals, etc).

      Just my $0.02.
