    PU top on 88?

I have an 88 rover with PU top and the spacer piece that I'm going to install. I assume that the spacer just bolts to the tub bulkhead. Question is is there a seal between them?

Bob, I don't see any seal in the Parts Catalogue:

This blog has been a favorite of mine for some time...
It has a great description (and pictures) of the Cab Mounting Rail fitment...

thanks Mark. What parts manual do you have, mine does not show a PU top?

If it helps, these illustrations are from the '58/'61 Parts Catalog...

Again, it shows no seal between the mouthing plate & vehicle. However, as mentioned in the blog post (previously referenced)... "I will also be fitting a length of draught excluder foam below the raised lip where it sits over the bulkhead rail to prevent draughts in winter."

So, placing a strip of foam between the rear bulkhead and the rail might be a nice touch. If I were to install my cab, I would certainly do this.

          Good luck...

It's from the SIII Optional Equipment Parts Catalogue (p/n RTC9009).

No seal. But adding one might be a good idea so you don't let any water out.

I agree on a foam seal there. I have a roll of 1/16" neoprene I'll cut to fit.

I used generic automotive rubber seal that I bought at a local auto supply store.
