Ok, so i decided to change the oil in my tranny. So far i havent had to do it, but only because i was extremely lazy and didnt want to deal with it. I suck, i know.
When i dropped the drain plug i checked it out, inside is a large void. Inside this void was lots of little bits of metal. Most of it was copper in color, but some looked a bit like steel.
I had a new 3rd/4th gear set with synchros put in a while ago. Could this be from the gears before i replaced the gear set?
Do the copper or brass synchros deteriorate normally?
I did run it almost dry once, almost.
