Series 3 bulkhead / firewall rain gutter channel recommendations?

As you can see in this picture my series 3 has a terrible rain channel.

I was planning on just spot welding a new rain gutter on while i am repairing the rest of the bulkhead.

Should I just make it the same depth as the old one and extend it to wing panels? (Like it should be)

I see that the defender has a different style with the rubber seal. Wonder if that would help with the water dripping in between the bonnet and the bulkhead to add that defender rubber seal.

not sure for what years but that is what they had for drain channels. My 73 was like that but 74 and 69IIa went end to end. Seemed dumb to me also.

Gonna pick up some 20 gauge and form a new rain gutter.

Only hiccup the old owner sprayed foam in the bulkhead so that is going to stink when welding

Finally got it done, just need to clean it up and put some seam sealer on there after I primer it.

The fumes from the foam in the bulkhead were awful but it will be worth it to direct the rain away from the center.

                Wow! What a Motor!

Can you tell us about the powerplant conversion? I suspect it will help the truck exceed the 50 mph top speed of my rig..........
